In Calgary, Richard Cho joined us as Property Tax Consultant.
Edmonton welcomes the addition of Doug McLennan as Manager and Senior Consultant. Doug was formerly Manager of Property Tax for Deloitte, as well as Director of Alberta Linear Assessment and Director of Assessment Audit and Equalization with Alberta Municipal Affairs. As well, Lorena Reyes has joined the team as administrative assistant.

Peter MacLellan Joins AEC Team
AEC is pleased to welcome Peter MacLellan AACI, P. App, to its senior consulting team of specialists in real estate appraisal, property tax and assessment management and valuation. Peter brings over 30 years of Canada-wide service to the public and private sectors. He joins AEC after 17 years as Chief Technical Appraiser for Assessment Services Division of Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Affairs, specializing in large commercial, industrial, institutional and special purpose properties and is a recognized instructor and international speaker.
Peter brings AEC’s diverse professional resources to Atlantic Canada servicing local, regional, national and international clients from AEC’s Halifax office.

We are pleased to announce that Bill Jesse has assumed management of the Edmonton office. Bill has been with AEC for over 8 years and was the City Assessor for the City of Edmonton.
AEC - Toronto Office – Comings and Goings
We’re pleased to advise that Brian Bethune and Alex Chernous have joined AEC’s Toronto office. Brian is working with Charles Johnstone in the ATM Group and Alex joins our Administration and Finance Group.
We are also pleased to announce that Peter MacLellan, who has been a familiar speaker at our AEC Information Sessions, will be joining AEC Valuations, working out of Halifax, Montreal and Toronto. Peter was the Chief Technical Appraiser for Service Nova Scotia and joins AEC as a senior consultant.
Gerry Turrin is moving on to Divaris Alexander Group. We’re sorry to see him go but wish him much success in his future endeavours.
AEC - Montreal
AEC’s Montreal office has expanded. Joining Jules Mercier and Luc Girouard in January 2005, is well known assessment and taxation expert, Claude Caumartin. Two technicians have joined the team; Marcel Morin can be contacted at extension 209 and Laurence Sirois at extension 207. Assisting in the overall administration is Solange Racicot.
