JERRY GRAD, P.Eng., CRE
AEC’s president and CEO has in excess of 31 years of global professional experience in the municipal assessment and property tax arena including assessment policy, valuation, property taxation, litigation and management. Jerry is also the President and founding member of the International Property Tax Institute, a non-profit international organization representing government, taxpayers, academia and taxation and assessment professionals worldwide.

LYNNE ASHTON
With more than 25 years experience with AEC and the City of Toronto, Lynne has extensive knowledge and input with respect to the set up and implementation of portfolio assessment and tax management services for major corporations. She has been involved in every facet of the municipal property tax process, from tax policy and systems development to revenue forecasting, analysis and tax billing.

CHARLES JOHNSTONE, AACI, P.App, RI
Charles joined AEC Valuations in 2004 as Director of AEC's Assessment and Tax Management Group (ATM). Prior to joining AEC, Charles was a Deputy Area Assessor with BC Assessment. Charles has over 20 years experience in property valuation, property taxation, and assessment administration. Charles also has successful leadership experience in the design and implementation of a computer assisted mass appraisal and assessment administration system and the creation of corporate-wide continuous improvement measures. Charles is a Past President of the Real Estate Institute of BC.

ROBERT CAINES
Bob has over 33 years experience in the municipal assessment and property tax field. Prior to joining the AEC team in 2003, Bob was the Senior Manager, Industrial and Special Purpose Properties with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. Bob is now managing AEC’s Property Assessment and Advisory Services group.

CHRIS TOLLEY
Chris is a co-founder of AEC whose over 35 years of experience and expertise lies in the area of valuing special purpose industrial and commercial properties for assessment purposes. Chris has appeared before numerous tribunals across Canada as an expert witness in property assessment matters, acting for both private sector clients and government agencies.

JOHN GLEN, M.A., AIMA, AACI, PLE
John is a Senior Consultant and specializes in realty and personal property tax consulting for retail, office, shopping centres, residential, recreational and industrial properties. As well as appearing as an expert witness in Ontario, New Brunswick, and British Columbia, John has expertise in developing mass appraisal procedures for Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick, and Winnipeg. John is a well known lecturer and author of numerous articles on real estate topics, including a contribution to the 3rd edition of Readings in Canadian Real Estate (1992), edited by Arbuckle and Bartel.

RICHARD LO, P. Eng.
Richard is a registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. As Manager of the Fixed Asset and Valuation Services, Richard is responsible for the valuations of fixed assets for AEC’s multi-national clients. He has over 25 years of experience in valuing fixed assets including machinery and equipment. Richard also speaks at numerous international conferences regarding Fixed Asset Valuations.
